In the tradition of classic American designers, Michael Kors caters to lovers of luxe all-American classics including sporty cashmere, bright, dramatic gowns, and lush furs. A graduate of FIT, the Long Island, N.Y., native began his womenswear empire in 1981 and has not looked back. Designing womenswear and, since 2003, menswear as well, Kors has been awarded two CFDA awards and has earned accolades for dressing some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
