Tinker was on hand in June to participate in Jeff Pulver’s groundbreaking 140 Characters Conference, the first-ever Twitter conference that served as the launch pad for the investigation of Twitter as a growing force in business. Die hard members of the Twitterati, media personalities, celebrities and regular folks alike came together to discuss and at times heatedly debate the effects of Twitter on media, celebrity, advertising and more.
Tinker’s proud to again participate in the 140 Characters Conference—this time as it heads west to LA. The #140Conf LA conference is not only exciting as it’s the next iteration in the growing 140 Conference empire, but also because it’s the birthplace of the 1st Annual NOW Awards. Tinker will be powering the NOW awards and is thrilled to team up with Pulver and co. to produce the first-ever awards voted by the Tweeple and for the Tweeple.
What are the NOW awards? The NOW Awards recognize celebrities and ordinary people who are making Twitter matter. From media and politics to technology and business, these game changers embody the qualities that are making Twitter and the emerging NOW internet a growing force in the world.
Why the NOW awards? Because we want to recognize the All-stars, the Mavericks and the Game Changers who are making Twitter what it is today.
Who are the NOW awards nominees? Can be anybody. Celebrities or ordinary people, it doesn’t matter. Only requirement: NOW awards recipients must be actively transforming the Twitterverse.
How are the NOW awards chosen? By YOU—the Tweeple. Vote for anyone you think is changing the world, one tweet at a time. Click here for voting rules and regulations.
When are the NOW awards? Voting begins on September 29th at 10:00 AM (EST) and ends on October 24th at 11:59 PM (EST). NOW Awards recipients will be announced at the #140Conf Networking Reception on October 27th.
