Featured trend reporters, Nola Weinstein of Glam Media, Neil Y of MAC Cosmetics, and style blogger StyleWriterNYC saw the trends unfolding in real-time.

Nola Weinstein, Director of Fashion Editorial, was impressed, telling us “Herrera changed it up this season with short shorts hitting the runway amidst elegant mermaid evening gowns. Metallics made a dazzling play with lavendar, maroon and neutrals rounding out the palette. Mrs. Herrera nodded to the 20s with drop waists but brought it back to the present with a jumpsuit of her own.”

Senior Makeup Artist Neil Y commented on the dazzling makeup at the Herrera show, tweeting “@mac_neil_y: Just at Carolina Herrera and the makeup is simply stunning! Soft brown smokey eyes –peachy cheeks-loving the peach this season!”

StyleWriterNYC echoed Weinstein’s sentiments, tweeting post-show “@StyleWriterNYC: Loved the luxe flounce on Carolina Herrera’s tea-length dresses, as well as the basketweave texture on gowns and skirts #nyfw”
